About Armandt

I fell in love with computers at the very young age of 6. I fondly remember the days of installing Age of Empires: Rise of Rome from the Windows 98 installation CD and building our own LAN with my friend, Jaco, on weekends to play multiplayer, figuring out IP address conflicts without Google or the internet.

Fast forward to the present, I now have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology (IT) awarded with distinction from North-West University, Potchefstroom. I currently work at Spinnaker Software (Pty) Ltd and volunteer as an exam item writer for ISC2 for the SSCP certification exam.

When I’m not behind a computer keyboard, I’m out cycling with my wife on Bainskloof Pass or hitting the trails in the Paarl Mountain Reserve on my mountain bike.

This blog will mainly be focussed on information systems analysis and programming. The idea is to document my thoughts and experiences as I dabble with new frameworks and languages.
